Weekend Day Center Monitor Needed

Family Promise of Wake County is in need of weekend volunteers at our Day Center.

Volunteers who serve as Day Center monitors are responsible for opening or closing the Day Center, implementing guest guidelines, and taking phone messages. Volunteers commit to three to five hour shifts a few times throughout the year on Saturdays and Sundays and holidays. This service not only allows our families to continue accessing the Day Center outside of normal weekday business hours, but it also allows our professional staff to take a much needed break. New volunteers are always welcome!

Volunteer monitors receive a short training session to prepare them for these responsibilities.

About Family Promise

We remain one of only two emergency shelters in Wake County to allow families to stay together, regardless of the ages and genders of the children and parents, sparing parents the difficult choice between keeping their families together and finding a safe place for their children to sleep. We are the only homelessness nonprofit to offer a continuum of services and partnerships to move families all the way from homelessness to safe, affordable, permanent housing.
