Music & Arts Volunteer Opportunities

There are countless ways to get involved with The Salvation Army’s programs in Wake County! Thank you for enabling us to continue Doing the Most Good.

Arts & Crafts Leader: Spark a child’s creativity! Volunteer with the 5-8 years old in the After School Program while they do various art and craft projects
Monday-Friday: 4:30pm-6pm

Guitar Lessons: If you love music and play the guitar, please sign up to visit our weekly guitar club at After School Program! Teach the kids any basic lesson you would like to share!
4:30pm-5:30pm: Wednesdays; 9 year olds & Fridays; 5-8 year olds

Piano Lessons: Share your love of music by volunteering to teach the kids in the church, ages 7-14, how to play the piano!
Mondays: 6:30pm-7:15pm

Family Fun Night: Host a fun craft or activity with the families in our Emergency Women & Children’s Shelter! Dance parties, crafts, beauty nights and more! The choice is yours!
Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays: 6:45pm-8:15pm

Story Volunteer: Release your inner drama queen – make characters and stories come to life! Share the world of books and love of reading in After School Program!
Held once a week; date varies by time of year

Gardening: We have a small garden for the kids and Seniors group. Help us maintain it!
Monday-Friday: flexible times
